SHIFTING YOUR ENERGY FOR POSITIVE LIVING

shifting your energy for positive

Daily life is full of different kinds of experiences from the first moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night. Sometimes, mornings can be slow and difficult, as well as days and evenings. If things do not go our way since we step out of bed, our whole day can be "ruined".

How to shift your energy if you feel like you do not want to continue your day just because you spilt coffee/tea on your clean ironed clothes, or you have no time to finish your breakfast because the time flew by and it is already time to get out the door.

When you arrive at work, you feel like everything is falling apart and the day becomes so difficult that it is too unbearable to keep pace. Then, you receive a phone call from a friend and you get bad news. After your work day ends, you get home and you are too tired or sad to do things that oftentimes, you love to do. You do not have your usual routine, and you get upset.

How to shift all your energy and find calm when you feel the "storm" is coming?

It all starts with you! We all have our good days and our bad days. The important part is how to manage to shift your energy if things are not as you expect them to be. For example, you can take a short nature walk in your garden, or if you do not have one, go out on your terrace for 5 minutes.

You can take your coffee/tea with you. If it is too cold, put on your coat, or a blanket. Try to be out and refresh your thoughts. Take time to reflect on the positives that you have in your life. If you keep a journal, write a thought or an idea of what you are experiencing in your life right now. You can also write what you are grateful about.

If things are not happening in your life as you wish them to happen, write at least about the small positive changes that are happening.

Write about what you do have in life at the present moment. Journal about the things and people that bring you joy and comfort. Take a moment and reflect on the fact that you were able to wake up and see the light of another day, that you are breathing, and that you are alive and healthy. Think of the present moment and try to feel it as intensely as you can. Breathe deeply in and out a few times and think of how this makes you feel. Do some stretches in the meantime. Make a summary of what you have in your life and less of what you do not have.

Your energy will rapidly shift and you will become more aware of the difficult moment that you had when you had to wake up and start your day. You will see it as an opportunity to do things differently. You can tell yourself: "This time I will not complain any longer, and I will start doing things that help me shift my energy!"

You deserve to have time for yourself. You are working every day for your projects, for your dreams, but have you worked for yourself?

Human beings are well inclined to focus on the negative more than the positive. We are wired this way. Our predictions and "scenarios" are becoming a reality 10% of the time or less. Can you imagine that? Let’s replace that 90% of negative predictions with positive predictions and use it wisely. Let’s transform our low energy into good vibrant energy and keep it to a high percentage as much as we can and as long as we are able.

Nothing is more enjoyable than drinking our tea or coffee calmly and having our thoughts written down during our morning and evening routines. If you manage to shift your energy in the morning, you will benefit from it throughout all day. Our days will end better than we expect.

We all know that if we start a day badly, it ends badly. We should say to ourselves: "If my day starts badly, I will shift my energy and change the outcome of my day. The power is in me. I can do it!"

Do not underestimate the power of shifting your mood! All that you have is the present moment! Make the most of it! Transform your energy and transform your life.

SIMPLICITY -DEFINING YOUR SIMPLE LIFE

simplicity

If you are in a quest for a simple living you are in a search of a precious gift. If you already live a simple life, that is the greatest gift you could have offered yourself.

If not, try to re-think your definition of living a simple life. What does living simply mean to you? How would simple living suit you? Is there any schedule you should follow to live a simple life, or is it just follow life simply as it unfolds?

There are no rules in defining simply living, nor are any constraints. Living simply is just the way you feel is best for you.

Most of all people would love to live a simple life. We are all longing for an uncomplicated life. We are all searching to have a life full of joy, less stress and more contentment. Living simply gives us peace of mind and lets us breathe easily. Simplicity brings calm, joy and a constant need for enjoying life more just as it unfolds.

Our mind, body and soul are nourished when we live a simple life. Sometimes, it can be hard to live simply, but what if we should search for it intently, and start living it?

Start living simply in your home. If you think your house needs decluttering, start decluttering. Start with your wardrobe, then, with your desk, with your unneeded technology items and finish with your nutrition.

Choose to stay only with the things and people that benefit you in all areas of your life.

From dawn until sunset, you can design your simple living the way you think is best for you and your peace of mind. If you think you should start to go out in nature more, take that nature walk. If you feel like you should prepare a simple meal, do that. Find a routine that is simple and less busy. Choose only the most important tasks that you set your mind on. Try to be more with yourself and your family.

Simply living is permitting you to find time for yourself at any time of the day.

Living a modern life comes with its disadvantages, but not all is lost. You can still find a balance between a simple and modern life. When you think is impossible to live a simple life, take a moment and write down your priorities. Reflect on how simple living will benefit you.

If you have questions, try to answer yourself, in all sincerity. Is simple living what you are searching for?

Somewhere in our minds, we hear the same refrain: "I wish that life would be simpler!". You have to know, that you have the power to make it simple! You are the one who decides how to live your life.

We often overdue everything in our lives and we complicate almost everything around ourselves.

Let's do things simply! Beauty can be found in simple things, in small things. When we enjoy the small things, we receive more than we expect, because life is designed this way, I believe.

We do not need a lot to be happy. We need more of our time to " afford" to live simply.

Little humans live simple lives. They do not need things to be happy. They just need the presence of their parents and they are happy and content at any moment. We just have to dare shift our mindset and search for that simple living we all need.

When we have less, we need less time to organize everything. When we have more time for ourselves and others we search for that togetherness more. When we have that togetherness, we want more and more of it because it brings us warmth and comfort.

I think this is what simple living means. To live content with you and with the presence of the ones that you care about. When you have all this, you have a fulfilled simple life. Let’s slow down a little bit and find simplicity in all areas of our lives. It is the key element to living a fulfilled life.

We distanced ourselves from simplicity because we thought that being sophisticated is better suited for the modern era that we live in, but I always think of Leonardo da Vinci’s words: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

INNATE WISDOM - THE IMPORTANCE OF TRUSTING IT

01/14/2023
de catre grace and glory

Since the dawn of time, everything in our world took the natural course of things. Everything seemed to happen so naturally, beautifully, and with ease. If we look into nature, we learn that no effort is needed for everything to happen. From the formation of a bud through the bloom of a flower. Similar to nature is human nature.

The arrival of a newborn is natural, beautiful and perfectly aligned. Human beings come to this world in a marvellous way that seems to be full of wisdom. The development process of a human being is miraculous in itself and coming to the world is naturally happening. Human beings are "guided" to move along with their life journey. Newborns do not learn how to breathe. They already know how to do it the second they "step" into the world. Then, they continue their journey with the help of their mother. Even if their life needs to be sustained, they seem to have an innate wisdom that our minds cannot comprehend, especially during the first years of their lives.

We are so amazed when babies reach a new milestone. They are using their innate wisdom to navigate through their new life. We are thrilled by their progress (when they turn on their bellies; when they sit up; when they crawl; when they stand up for the first time; when they walk). All the stages of their new life come so naturally. We cannot even wait to witness all these experiences!

With time passing, we see that innate wisdom is gradually replaced with the need for constant help from exterior factors. Reaching adulthood, we start to question ourselves and try to understand things but sometimes can be quite a challenge.

What if, instead of relying on external factors to do things, we try more to rely on our innate wisdom? Turn back a little bit to the time when you were so courageous to crawl, stand up and discover the world. All those beautiful milestones that you accomplished when we were very young were done by using your innate wisdom. You should access it more and more for all your present life experiences.

How did we manage to act upon our life experiences using our wisdom? How did we use all that was given to us when we came to this world?

Our bodies function perfectly by themselves. We do not have to force anything on them. We just have to trust it! We breathe, we move, and we do things naturally because our bodies know how to do things naturally.

Some things are learned throughout our lives, but every time we learned something, we used our innate wisdom. This is how we resolved and achieved things. Things get more complicated because we lose trust in ourselves. We start to believe that things are not possible and we often forget all we have achieved until the present moment.

Life as a whole came with an innate wisdom, I believe. Life is a wonderful journey that offers millions of possibilities to do things ourselves. Human beings create beautiful and marvellous things. All that is possible because we rely on our innate wisdom. Let's try to access it more!

When we are confronted with an experience where we have to take a decision, if we listen to our inner voice, we feel is the best thing to do. If we start to question ourselves and our decision-making, we are putting ourselves in a difficult position. We can easily be guided to step on a road that we do not want to follow.

Try to rely on yourself more and less on external factors. Trust your instinct and keep on taking decisions which YOU think are best for you. If the outcome is not what you wanted, ask yourself: " Did I make the best decision for myself?" When the outcome is opposite of what you expected, try to learn from your experience. Focus more on what needs to be changed so the outcome is favourable to you.

Our wisdom needs to be given more credit and should be taken as a valuable guide to doing things better in our daily lives. Take time to reflect on your daily experiences and try to see if you used more of your wisdom and less of external factors. Document your experiences using a pen and paper. Listen to your thoughts, write them down and read through them. Your words of wisdom will be revealed to you more and more if you take the time to put your pen to paper.

You will be able to see things clearly and you will "print" new words of wisdom. Keep in mind that human beings are unique. Their unique creativity brings a lot of beauty to the world because they dare to use their innate wisdom. We all have to dare to access more of our wisdom to feel better and to trust more in our life journey.

When you are connected with yourself, you can connect easily with your innate wisdom. Find a safe place where you can freely express your thoughts. My advice is to be out in nature. First, to clear your mind and breathe the much-needed fresh air and then, to connect with yourself more. Nature’s wisdom is the first thing we can rely on to see our own. Once we see its wisdom, we begin to trust our own.

We are a part of nature and we are the best version of ourselves when we connect with it. As Albert Einstein said: " Look deeply into nature and then you will understand all things better."

The same thing can be referred to us. I say: "Look deeply into your innate wisdom and you will understand and live your life better."

NEW RESOLUTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR - TAKING ONE STEP AT A TIME

NEW RESOLUTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR - TAKING ONE STEP AT A TIME

The beginning of a new year can give us a breath of fresh air, but at the same time, it can put a lot of pressure on us.

I think we all wrote down our resolutions for the new year already. We feel so committed to putting them into action from day one. New beginnings indicate that we can start again fresh. We are convinced this year we will make it the best one. We feel that we have all the energy needed and, we are ready for what is coming!

What if all the resolutions that you wrote on your list are putting a lot of pressure from the beginning? Are the new resolutions that you set your mind on, the ones that you truly wish to have on your list? Is the list too long?

I think that most of us think. " Oh, there is no problem! I am sure that I can achieve all this and everything will be great."

Staying focused on the positive outcome is the best way to accomplish all your resolutions, but with the days and the months passing, if you do not succeed in keeping them, the pressure is starting to settle in. I strongly advise you not to pressure yourself into doing everything in full speed mode. Do not hurry to check all the new resolutions! Putting pressure on yourself can rapidly change in slow mood resolution completion, or in some cases giving up on most of them. I think you should take your time and repeat it to yourself: "Take one step at a time!".

Keep this in your mind! Rome was not built in a day! When we do things wisely and take one step at a time, we stay more focused. The stress levels are down and we keep on working on our resolutions. At the end of the day, the important part is not how long it takes to reach the end of our resolutions, but how to reach the outcome.

We live in an era of everything needs to be achieved as quickly as possible and the more, the better.  Do we take time to enjoy the process of doing things? We even manage not to see the time passing and often we forget to pause, breathe and take time for ourselves.

I say that beautiful things are made when we cherish the present moment. When we put our hearts into creating something or enjoy the present moment while we make it, we pour our positive energy and love into it.

If you chose that one new resolution for this new year is to be out in nature more or create something with your hands, take one step at a time, enjoy the process, enjoy the present moment, do it with love and do not hurry! Every second of the process is important. Nothing brings more joy than being fully present.

Concentrating on your breathing allows you to feel your breathing process. The same thing is with all the other things in our lives. Things done halfway or partly are like things not done at all.

So, do not put pressure on yourself to reach rapidly as many resolutions as possible during this new year. Enjoy the process and take one step at a time. Your life is to be lived in your rhythm, not the rhythm which is imposed on you by external factors. Trust your own heart and focus on what is best for you. The answers are within yourself.

Keep in mind that fewer resolutions that bring well-being in your life are the ones that are beneficial for you.

How can you reach the final part of your resolutions?

1. Focus on the resolution that is most important and dear to you.

2. Tell yourself that you do not have to do everything concerning it in a month, two or six months .

3. When you focus on working on your resolutions always tell yourself:  "Take one step at a time."

4. Remind yourself daily that you are enjoying the process and appreciate each moment of your journey.

5. Always think that giving up is not a solution.

6. Reflect on everything that you accomplished and be grateful for your commitment to yourself.

7. Journal the process of bringing your resolutions closer to where you want them to be.

Life is not meant to be lived on how high we scored on our new year resolutions. Resolutions are good if they do not take the space that is destined for living your life as it unfolds. Resolutions should keep us focused on improving our lives and creating a life that is worth living. Hopefully, your resolutions will help you build a " Rome " that is worth living in.

May this year bring you harmony and alignment in reaching the end of your new year's resolutions.

LETTING GO AND LIVE A MINDFUL LIFE

How to let go and live a mindful life?

Letting go, I think is one of the hardest things to do. We are so focused to make things happen the way we think is best, but this keeps us trapped in a place that we are not comfortable with, even if we do not realize it.

How to let go? How to learn to live with our experiences just as they happen and live a mindful life?

We all have struggles and trying experiences in our lives, but every time we try to step further away from them, something keeps us stuck and we return to where we started. It is not easy to do all this. It is consuming, sometimes overwhelming and we are quite exhausted by the fact that we can’t seem to manage to move on. We should accept them and learn from them.

Life is happening with or without our approval. We always wish to move closer to our goals, but if something does not happen as we wish it, we try to do all sorts of actions to get where we want. What if that road that seems easier to get on is not the road that we need to follow?

How to let go of the thought that all should happen exactly the way we had imagined? What if things do not have to happen always our way? Sometimes, things have to happen the way they should and we MUST let go because it might be the best thing for us. Controlling things and people around us is more harmful than beneficial.

I always say, when a door closes another one opens. If I let go today of everything that does not benefit my journey, beautiful things start to happen.

Let go and start to breathe. Once you accept that things need to flow and happen in your life as they do you will start to breathe easily and think clearly. Being mindful and living a mindful life brings ease and flow to your daily journey.

Try to focus on the present moment. Start with your breathing. Take small actions that will bring meaningful experiences into your life. Focus on the positive more and be content with your day just as it unfolds. Take time to be with yourself and try to quiet your mind. If that seems difficult, disconnect from all the devices that might induce a running mind that does not find time to stay still.

Take time to be out in nature every day, even if it is just for 10 minutes. Try to connect with yourself. Keep a journal of your days and be grateful for every experience you live. Exercise daily and be on the move.

Love your food more. Be mindful of what you eat. Healthy food contains all the nutrients that are essential for your health. A healthy body and a healthy mind are indispensable for reaching a state of complete well-being. Try to meditate when you are with yourself and reflect on all the things that you have in life.

Try to do something using your hands. Maybe you have a hobby, or you are passionate about something. Using your hands is good for your brain. Working with them produces endorphins, and reduces your stress and anxiety levels.

Living a mindful life is always about living in the present moment. Being aware of what is happening now gives shape and form to our experiences. When we live our experiences fully, we feel excitement and joy or other kinds of emotions. When we feel our emotions deeply, we feel that we are alive and life is more intense.

Notice your surroundings more and look up. Listen closely to any sound around you. Listen and connect with the people you are having conversations with. Try to do kind actions towards the people you interact with. Living mindfully takes practice and time. We cannot change our way of living overnight, but we sure can do small actions to reach this beautiful goal.

Take time to pause and reflect during the day and see if you did one act that directed you towards a mindful life. Let go of the past and focus on the present moment. This way of living will put you in a better mood and you will want to practice more often what is beneficial to you. Your body and mind will feel the difference.

Step away from what keeps you away from living a mindful life and live your best life now.

The great teachable lesson of acceptance

the great teachable lesson of acceptance

Life is not always what we think it should be. We always want to have happy moments in life. It is wise to want to have the positive in our lives, but the hardships are here to teach us something greater than how to live a happy life.

Hardships are here to mould us and to make us look at what is meaningful in our lives. When hardships come, acceptance is the key to navigating the life that could always be the greatest one that we all strive to live. Acceptance is what we all need to reach that happy, fulfilling life that otherwise we could not have experienced it.

When difficult experiences settle into our lives and we do not understand the reason why they came, the first thing to do is to try to accept them and learn from them.

Hardships and difficult experiences are inviting themselves into our lives to see all the good that we have in our daily lives that is so difficult to hold on to.

We always strive to have more, but what if that more is right here at this moment? What if all the experiences that we go through are the best ones for us to experience? Experiencing them is the way to learn more about ourselves, about our life journey.

Acceptance teaches so much about life. We all set deadlines and dates for our projects, but what if that deadline is not meant to be achieved because something else needed to be learned before? What if that project of yours needed to be postponed to a later date because your life experience could not have been so intense otherwise?

How do we learn to accept our difficult life experiences when they come? How to accept that acceptance is the key to navigating life in a more meaningful way? The sun and the moon, all living organisms and nature itself have their rhythm. Do we force the sun to rise when we want to or the moon to set when we think is best because our day of work has not finished yet and we did not accomplish all the things that we wanted to accomplish during that day, or do we accept them as they come?

What feelings and emotions do you experience when you see the sun rising? Do you accept its presence? Do you welcome it or do you force it not to appear? We cannot do that, do we? Nature has its timing in everything. Can we force seasons to show up at a later date or do we accept them as they come? We are excited even because each season has something wonderful and unique to offer to us. The same thing should happen when we go through a difficult experience. We all have them and we all should accept them and learn from them. Hardships as well as joyful moments are here to teach us important things about ourselves and to help us experience our human journey in a unique and significant way.

All is here for us, to build us, to experience life and feel it through its core. These experiences are here to make our life journey one of a kind on this beautiful planet. We should learn to accept everything when it comes into our lives, just as it comes. Every single experience and every single moment is for US, for our journey.

When we realize that acceptance is the key to navigating life easier and in a most wonderful way, we can start to breathe easily and freely. Do we force ourselves to breathe? We never force it, do we not? We do it easily and it comes easily. We are not thinking of doing it, even! It is a natural thing that we take for granted, like many other things. We focus more on what we do not have our own, rather than on things or people that matter.

Life should flow easily and freely. When life flows, we flow. When we flow, we are at ease. The stress is less present and our lives are more in tune with our inner selves. Let’s focus on acceptance more and build a stronger relationship with it. It is one of our "best friends" to live a life with meaning and awe.

HOW TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE

how to live a meaningful life

HOW TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE

I think this subject interests us all. How to live a meaningful life is a quest for each individual. We were taught to search for meaning in all things we do. Since we came into the world, we were guided to look for what has meaning in our lives.

What does it mean to live a meaningful life? Our thoughts might be different, but when we talk about a meaningful life, we all talk about how to have, or how to act and how to live life with purpose, a life full of meaning.

What are the most precious things in your life? Do your actions bring you closer to living a meaningful life?

To live a meaningful life is to live a life that fulfils our whole being, a life that brings joy into our hearts, a life where we can do what we love to do, a life that brings joy to others as much as to ourselves.

Doing the things that matter most to you, or being with the people you love most, is a constant source of happiness. These things are the ones that recharge us and help us move in the direction we always wish to move closer. These valuable things make us feel that we live the best life. It gives us meaning in our lives and enriches our life journey.

To live a meaningful life is to wake up in the morning and focus on things that matter to you. Your definition might be different, but in the end, we all search for what makes us happy and nurtured. When we reflect on what matters, I am sure that most of us, believe that "being human" gives purpose to our lives. Experiencing our emotions, showing gratitude to others and ourselves, sharing our talents and giving from a sincere heart, sharing laughter with our family and friends, and having meaningful conversations with everyone that crosses our life’s path creates a meaningful life.

When we live a meaningful life we feel our "human identity". Our emotions are real and intense. They put us in a state of questioning more about what is the real purpose of life. The more we question ourselves about what is to live a meaningful life, the more we want to discover more about ourselves. When we search to live a meaningful life, we come to understand that we have to listen to the inner wisdom that guides us every day. If we listen to ourselves and to what our hearts tell us we start to live our true version of a meaningful life.

Do things with your whole heart.  Surely they will bring meaning to your life. If you think that your creativity or your input in what you work on will bring valuable things into other people's lives, go and do those things more. Believe that your insight is unique. Your version of living a meaningful life might add something that will enrich other people's growth and their version of living a meaningful life. We are here to connect and help each other to be present and live life with purpose. The interconnection helps us be what we truly wish to be.

Ask yourself where you wish to be, to feel happy, whole and content with your life. Take decisions that will bring you to the place where you wish to find more about yourself, about what truly matters to you.
Question your inner being when you feel that you have no guidance and you feel "lost ". You will always find a way to live your version of a meaningful life.

Reflect on all the things that you do and ask yourself if this brings meaning to your life. If it does, you live a meaningful life and living it brings you to a state of awe. If you already live a meaningful life on your terms, but you believe that is not quite sufficient for you, do more to arrive where you want to be so you can live a more fulfilling life than now.
Never stop where you are. Continue to find meaning in your life.

Connect more with people that bring you to a state of awareness and self-discovery. Every person that walks into your life "carries a message" that you need to pay close attention to because you will never know how that message will open your eyes to things that you have never noticed before.

Share your thoughts with the persons around you about what you believe a meaningful life consists of. Find meaningful conversations with close friends and family members. This will help you reflect more on how is it to live a meaningful life. A life without meaning is a life without "yourself".

Productivity

11/19/2022
de catre grace and glory

Have you asked yourself what is productivity and how important would that be in your own life? Did you ever try to make a definition of your own? Did you personalize it to your principles and your life?

Productivity definition - the state or quality of being productive

There are different kinds of productivity, we all know that but what comes first to mind when you hear that word?

For most of us being productive is about doing work following our notes in our planner and the more, the better. It is wonderful if we have goals that we set our mind on and we come to achieve most of those, but what if this productivity consumes all of our energy and there is no time left for ourselves? We are important and we matter.

What if being productive means doing fewer chores, errands et cetera? Lately, we hear quite often the phrase. " Less is more". I tend to believe that doing less for apparently important things is doing more for ourselves as a person which is truly important.

What if being productive means that we should be productive in building our character and our principles?

We are all so habituated to doing things, to check them on our daily lists. Being organized and clear about our daily tasks is constructive and keeps us focused on what we have to do. Are all those things on our list that we set our minds to do for ourselves or do we put them on the list just because we feel the need to be productive? What if being productive means that we should build a life that fulfils us from the inside out?

Let’s return to the definition of productivity and change it in our favour. Productivity - the state or quality of being productive for ourselves, for our lives, for building us up, to make us strong when we are less strong. Does your checklist involve a nature walk where your body benefits tremendously, both physically and mentally? Does your checklist involve doing something that you love, time for yourself, time with your friends, or genuinely time with your family? Or an act that brings joy to someone that needs it?

Look closely in the morning at your daily list and see if there is one thing that involves yourself, one thing that involves building yourself or one thing that makes you truly happy. If you have at least one thing your definition of productivity resembles the one that is favourable to you.
We are human beings, wonderful human beings I should say. If we manage to do so many things for work, or errands, we should try to do as much for our identity, for our human identity.

When we do that, we begin to rest, we begin to make time to read a book, to take nature walks, to meet our family and our friends, to just be and be present.

Doing all these things gives us much-needed time to pause and reflect on the most important things in life that have real value.
The productivity which is directed in our favour becomes favourable to the other areas of our lives. When we are productive for ourselves, we are more productive in our work and the stress dissipates easily.

Next time when you check your checklist, try to include yourself more.

SELF-CARE AND ITS BENEFITS

11/11/2022
de catre grace and glory

We are living in a modern busy society where everything is so quick that we almost have no time to really focus on our most vital part, our breathing. Most of us "forget" how to breath which is the most essential thing to live well and be connected with our body. This can often disconnect us from ourselves. When we are disconnected, we start to feel imbalance and we might hardly see the positive side of things in our lives.

When the disconnection is present, we seem to forget that we are human beings with simple needs and wishes and if we do not find time to answer these matters, we end up feeling overwhelmed, lost and our joy for life is fading. We start to search pleasure in subjects that apparently seem important which in reality are not as important as we think.

Self-care is not only about caring for our physical needs. Self-care is caring for all our needs; physical, mental and emotional.
When we experience something impactful or less positive our body passes through different reactions that can put a weight on ourselves. Our body feels contracted, tight, even unsettled. These are normal reactions as a result of our varied daily experiences.

Our emotional body is under stress as well and can loose easily its balance. In order to avoid reaching this state, we should always prioritize self-care.

For many, self-care is just taking their daily meals and hydration, then they return again doing work, work and more work. Work is so beneficial for us to keep us functional, happy or active, but self-care is as important as work is.

Self-care is taking the time to just be, to exist, to be present. Start with your breath. Take time to work on your breathing. Breath in… Breath out… Ah… That is much better, is it not? You can also exercise with your breathing. Breathing exercises are so beneficial for our composure. Once you start doing them you just want to continue, because you really feel the benefits that they bring and you feel recharged.

Physical activity is also an important part of the self-care routine. Anything that keeps you on the move and activates your circulatory system should be a priority. Try to apply active movement to your life for a healthy body and for your well being. Take daily nature walks or do forest bathing.

The most recent studies in neuroscience discovered that when we take a forest walk for at least six hours there is an increase of the number of our healthy cells that improves our immune system function. The level of the same cells persists in our body for around three to four weeks and will sustain the immune system when our bodies are less strong.

Self-care means as well, taking the time to enjoy every small thing from your daily life, such as eating or drinking. A cup of warm tea or a warming drink that brings you comfort. We all should take pleasure in small things. They seem small, but they have a huge positive impact in our lives. When we consider all these, we are more focused and more eager to continue with our daily tasks.

Self-care is our reminder that we are human beings with physiological needs and emotional well-being is key. We should always prioritize time for rest and relaxation. Choose your own rhythm and never forget how important it is to just breath, be present and enjoy your life.

Call a good friend and talk about your life experiences. Connect with the people that have the same principles as you and to whom you really feel connected. Listen closely when they share their life experiences with you and share your sincere advice, if they ask for it. This can also be a form of self-care. When you care for others you care automatically for yourself, because you feel that you truly do something that matters for someone else with all your heart.

Try as well to reserve time daily in your self-care routine for journaling. At grace and glory of nature, we call it mental self-care. Nothing is more relaxing or more enjoyable than taking care of your mental health. When the mind is silenced our inner being finds easily its state of wellbeing. Our mind needs its time to rest. Stay healthy and also take time for self-care. This is the number one priority that we should all have.

The importance of keeping a journal

We believe that having a journal and writing in it regularly is significantly important to achieve what we set our minds on and be the person that we want to be. Each individual is unique and has its own way of expressing their thoughts. This is one of the many reasons why Memoirs of my Daily Journey was created. Using this tool you can express freely your thoughts and your emotions.

Having a journal is not only about documenting our daily experiences or keeping written memories of our daily lives for ourselves or our descendants. Writing in a journal is more than all stated above. You are the author of your own book that tells the story of your life. In your personal journal not only you can write about your daily experiences, your achievements, your struggles, but you can also write about the work that you carry daily to become a better version of yourself. Keeping a journal where you write the story of your life is so wonderful. No story on this beautiful planet is like yours.

Everything we know about our ancestors is from books, from their writings (on a side note, this is how an archeologist found Troy). They took their pen diligently every day and they wrote everything that we know about them today. Through books, we discover the beauty of their simple daily lives, how they build and lived their dreams. We also read about their achievements and about their hardships, because they had the courage to put everything on paper. How much did we learn from their difficult experiences? I think that we can agree, that we learned a lot and we are still learning.

Memoirs of my Daily Journey was created for all the women that are eager to start writing about their story, the story of a woman, the story of a wife, the story of a mother, the story of a sister, the story of a daughter. We believe that every woman is unique with a
unique story of life that brings value and beauty in this world. More importantly, you add so much more to the lives of your loved ones just by being your unique self. Everything that you do, you do it with your whole heart. You have to know that you are a valuable person to everyone around you. Your unique talents are needed and if you choose, you can share them with the world.

Having this tool by your side and writing in it daily is so beneficial for our wellbeing. Through expressive writing, we clear our minds and we reach a state of consciousness. When we become more conscious, we become more focused. When we are focused, we are
more organized and more productive. We all want to be productive, do we not? This is an important part of the process. Women are known for being productive. They can carry multiple tasks at the same time, although our advice for you is to do one thing at a time, which is not always possible if you are a mother or have a busy schedule. Regardless of your situation, take this advice and reserve time for yourself, care for yourself and love yourself. The time that you invest for you is priceless. It puts a much needed space between your daily busy life and yourself. Be outside in nature as often as you can, do a physical activity daily if possible. We all know the beneficial outcomes for our health, but remind yourself daily to keep your emotional health in balance as well. Never forget that you are important and your life is precious.

You are invited today to write your story in your own Memoirs of my Daily Journey.
